The Nazarian Group is an undergraduate-focused academic research lab dedicated to the exploration of timely and impactful questions in the fields of physical oceanography, atmospheric science, and climate science. RESEARCH

Research in the Nazarian Group transcends traditional boundaries and intersects numerous topics in the geosciences. Past and current projects include analyses of internal-wave driven mixing, modeling and implications of sea level rise, future trends in extreme precipitation, and constraints on cloud feedbacks, to name a few. Our team is led by Prof. Rob Nazarian, Associate Professor of Physics, and composed of both engaged Fairfield University undergraduates as well as a number of external collaborators. We bring together the unique experiences and skill sets of each of our team members to solve exciting problems in ocean, atmosphere, and climate sciences.
